Saving the Sierra Madre Forests, Philippines

BirdLife's Philippines Partner, Haribon, met with top officials in the Government's Department of Environment and Natural Resources, to advance new ways to conserve forest under BirdLife's Forest of Hope Programme.

Meanwhile, Haribon encouraged people living nearby to support conservation of Mt. Irid-Angelo. As part of its efforts to improve and protect the quality of life for humans and wildlife alike in the area, Haribon also participated in a protest march against the impact of large hydroelectric dam projects on Mt. Irid-Angelo.
